Timings

The school day starts at 8.50am and all our STF pupils enter the school through the STF entrance,in the top yard. The school day finishes at 3.10pm and pupils leave the school from the same entrance.

Uniform

Our STF pupils have the option of wearing our school uniform. We encourage our pupils to wear a school uniform if possible. This consists of a white polo shirt, black bottoms and red school jumper. No jewellery should be worn, except small studs. Sensible shoes are needed for the school day. We also ask all our parents to provide their child with spare clothing and a pair of wellies. Our Y6 pupils have the option of wearing a leaver's hoody.

 Alternative Curriculum Activities.

Our STF pupils regularly go out on our school minibus to access a variety of outdoor learning. This includes Music Therapy, visits out and about in the local community and school trips as part of our Topic work.

The children also participate in cookery activities  as part of their weekly curriculum.

Parents are asked for a contribution of £1 a week. This is payable either every Monday morning or, if parents choose, they can pay for the term in advance.

Reading Folders

Pupils read regularly during the school day and read with class teachers through the week. Pupils are welcome to take their chosen reading book home to read for enjoyment if they wish, but they must be returned for reading in class every Monday. Parents can contact the staff to request their child's reading folder, if they wish

PE

Our older STF pupils integrate into their mainstream peer group for PE  every week. Parents of these pupils must ensure their child keeps a PE kit in school in readiness for these sessions. These will then be sent home for washing every Half Term.  Pupils will need comfortable clothing and trainers. Pupils should bring in a water bottle.
