Timings

The school day starts at 8.50am (pupils can attend Breakfast club from 8am) and Y3 line up in the top yard, closest to the school building. The school day finishes at 3.20pm and pupils leave the school from the top yard through the door next to the office. 

Uniform

All children are encouraged to wear school uniform. The school uniform is a red jumper or hoodie, red or white polo shirt and black or grey trousers or leggings. No jewellery should be worn, except small studs. Sensible shoes are needed for the school day - no crocs or heels. Please can you make sure all uniform is labelled with pupils names as this helps children when finding uniform and taking reposiility for their items.

Homework

A homework menu is given out at the start of each term, with suggested tasks for pupils to complete with parents. Pupils can bring completed homework in tasks into school, or parents can send images to teachers via Class Dojo. Pupils are rewarded for completing homework tasks with Dojo points. 

Reading books

Pupils read with teachers during the week. Pupils will bring reading books home once they have read in school and the books will be changed weekly where possible.  Books can be returned on any day throughout the week.

Spellings

Pupils will have new weekly spelling words on a Wednesday. These words are taken home ready to practise for their tests on the following Wednesday. 

PE

PE for both Y3 classes takes place on a Wednesday. Pupils should ensure they wear clothing to school that is suitable for PE - comfortable clothing and trainers. Pupils should bring in a water bottle.
